Bundestag candidate Thomas Zawalski (Die Grünen) visited the new Smart Factory in Ohlsbach.
Thomas Zawalski, “Die Grünen” Party's Bundestag candidate for the Offenburg constituency, visited the WTO in Ohlsbach on August 19.
After arriving in an electric car and while visiting the new WTO Smart Factory, Mr. Zawalski exchanged views with the CEO and owner of WTO, Sascha Tschiggfrei.
During a detailed tour, Sascha Tschiggfrei provided information on how the energy demand in the Smart Factory is covered by regenerative energies, in particular groundwater cooling, heat recovery, and photovoltaics.
An economic politician, Mr. Zawalski was visibly impressed by this entrepreneurial initiative and the willingness to invest in the building of the most modern Smart Factory in the region, while also achieving climate-neutral production.
State-of-the-art workplaces, an in-house fitness center, a company restaurant, and 10 new charging stations for electric vehicles are just a few examples of how far entrepreneurs go to create an attractive working environment for their employees.
In conclusion, Sascha Tschiggfrei and Thomas Zawalski agreed that, on behalf of the people in the Ortenau region, politics must ensure business-friendly framework conditions and invest in jobs that attract future prospects. Both agreed to stay in touch, and the next visit has already been arranged.
