With the Smart Factory (which is above all a "Green Factory"), we want to set a milestone in state-of-the-art production technology and environmental protection. WTO has already been using renewable energies for years and is now increasing its savings by an additional 3.8 gigawatt hours of energy per year, which corresponds to a CO2 reduction of 445 tons.
WTO is currently commissioning the largest industrial photovoltaic system in the region for its own use, with a total of 6,274 photovoltaic modules totalling 2.55 MWp. For this purpose, new solar cells were installed on the roofs of the existing buildings and solar roofs were built over all the car parks.
Car and e-bike charging stations are being installed for WTO employees.

WTO is managed in the second generation by Sascha Tschiggfrei, the son of the company founder, Werner Tschiggfrei. The company's guiding principles combine tradition with the future of WTO.
